Another busy week for me with several buyers making offers on properties, one without even seeing the property.  Some of the deals had multiple offers on them, even after a couple of days.

I know the national news is all gloom and doom, but maybe these buyers haven't got the message.   Some of them believe it's a good time to buy.   They certainly believe that the next 5 years will bring healthy returns on their investments.

I wish these were sales numbers...they are actually the number of foreclosures that Countrywide has accumulated over the last two years.  Can you imagine how busy the loss mitigation teams are over there?  Plus, being taken over by Bank of America in the process.  There desks must be covered!

I wouldn't call two weeks a trend, but the number of new foreclosed, REO, and short sales listings dropped from 20% of the overall listings to only 6%.  However, 52% of the pending sales were REO or Short Sales, up by 2%.   Closed sales were went from 35% last week to 33% this week.
